Wizkid Taunts Davido Over Deflation of $Davido Cryptocurrency Coin
In a surprising turn of events, popular Nigerian singer Wizkid has seemingly taunted fellow singer Davido over the deflation of Davido’s recently launched cryptocurrency coin, $Davido.
Davido had partnered with Phantom and Solana to bring $DAVIDO to fruition, with the coin’s market value surging past $10 and ranking number one on the DEX screener. However, over 80% of that value has been wiped out, with the coin’s market capitalization dropping to $2.1 million amidst a massive selloff by Davido’s social media followers.
Dailycoin reported that Davido himself extracted a sum of $474,000 from the token before cutting ties, leading to accusations of a “Crypto Scam” from prominent voices in the cryptocurrency space.
Cryptocurrency analyst Justin Gallum did not hold back in stating that Davido should be put in jail for his actions. Analyst Rume also called out Davido for what he described as a “crypto rug pull scam.”
Wizkid also joined the conversation, posting on his social media handle, “Work smart make you no go dey hustle like fool,” in what many believe to be a message directed at Davido.
