The Indian crypto Exchange Wazirx, which was hacked last July for 234 million US dollars, says that it’s on the best track to restart its operations until a court decision on May 13 on the restructuring proposal and the user compensation plan.
If the High Court in Singapore gives the nod, the Wazirx mother company Zettai PTE LTD can restart the exchange and begin its remuneration scheme for affected users inside 10 working days, said Wazirx in an update on April 21 to X.
Wazirx lost in mid-July 2024 in an attack that was attributed to North Korean hackers, from a secure multi-digit pocket of $ 234 million on a protected multi -ig-letters and compelled them to temporarily pause all crypto and Indian rupie withdrawals on the platform.

“Zettai has excluded all of the vital steps, and the subsequent essential step is the sanction hearing that the High Court in Singapore planned for May 13, 2025,” said the corporate.
“This hearing is very important in order that this system becomes legally effective. While now we have worked ourselves with the previously common schedules to stay in harmony, legal proceedings work independently and we respect this process.”

The Supreme Court of India rejected Wazirx user Petition
A separate court ruling on April 16 from the Supreme Court of India dismissed a petition submitted by 54 victims of the hack that applied for legal steps against Wazirx, Shetty, Binance and custody providers. The petents also asked the court to examine the Wazirx accounts.
The judges Br Gavai and Augustine Masih rejected the petition and said that the court couldn’t settle on the case, because it was a matter of the crypto guideline that the court doesn’t have to come to a decision.
Gavai and Masih advised the petent to contact a regulatory authority or one other relevant authority, as an alternative hearing the matter.
