Ethereum investment vehicle Trend Research further reduced its Ether exposure because the recent market crash prompted the financial firm to sell its assets to repay loans.
As of Sunday, it held about 651,170 Ether (ETH) in the shape of Aave Ethereum Wrapped Ether (AETHWETH). That number fell by 404,090 to about 247,080 on Friday, on the time of writing.
According to blockchain data platform Arkham, Trend Research has transferred 411,075 ETH to cryptocurrency exchange Binance for the reason that starting of the month.
According to CoinMarketCap, the transfers got here as ETH price fell nearly 30% last week to as little as $1,748. At the time of writing, it was trading at $1,967.

Trend Research continues risk management as ETH liquidation limit approaches
Trend Research is related to Jack Yi, the founding father of Hong Kong-based crypto enterprise firm Liquid Capital. Yi amassed his Ethereum investment company's holdings by purchasing ETH on an exchange, using it as collateral for Aave to borrow stablecoins, after which using those funds to buy more ETH.
Trend Research faces multiple ETH liquidation levels between $1,698 and $1,562, blockchain data platform Lookonchain wrote in a Friday X post.

Trend Research got here into the highlight days after the $19 billion liquidation in October 2025 when the investment firm began aggressively accumulating Ether.
Trend Research would have been the third-largest Ether holder in December, but as an unlisted company it doesn’t appear on most tracking web sites.
Bitmine, the biggest publicly traded Ether holder, was sitting on an unrealized profit of about $8 billion on Friday.
