Notcoin says Tap-to-Earn “probably dead” when telegram games see Shift

-

Notcoin, one among the best-known web3 gaming projects from 2024, said that the genre tap-to-earn was “probably dead” because web3 gaming is shifted to funny and appealing projects.

During the token2049 in Dubai, the co-founders of Notcoin Sasha and Vladimir Plotvinov spoke along with Uliana Salo, the pinnacle of design and product manager for emergency games, with cointelegraph in regards to the status of the telegram-based web3 games.

Vladimir announced CoinTelegraph that play builders shifted to numerous genres, since Tap-to-Earn didn’t maintain the interests of the players.

“We will see various kinds of games because tap-to-ear games are probably dead because they usually are not sustainable,” he said.

Players need a “fun time” with friends

In 2024, notcoin was probably the most popular TAP-to-EARN games from Telegram and landed greater than 30 million users inside three months of publication. In an earlier interview, Sasha attributed the expansion of the sport to his ability to resolve the issue of onboarding telegram users in crypto.

While Telegram Gaming exploded in 2024, the players soon went on play cheers and switched to others as soon as they “managed” in a project what they may. Sasha told CoinTelegraph:

“Users who come to the farm – their motivation is barely to earn something. And with games it’s more like I actually have fun, I would like to play with my friends and I would like to play in a bunch.”

He added that the primary wave of play from Telegram didn’t make this social element available, but Web3 can still play a very important role within the platform's gaming ecosystem.

He said Cintelegraph that Telegram games shift to models that move away from simply “agriculture”. In these recent experiences, the a part of the Web3 Economy becomes an “add-on” as an alternative of the principal promise.

However, the event can take a while. Sasha told CoinTelegraph that telegram still has no “real games” but was optimistic for the long run.

How artificial intelligence improves web3 gaming development

Vladimir said CoinTelegraph that artificial intelligence and telegram made web3 developers easier to create games.

The notcoin co-founder said that the appearance of AI technology enabled developers to be faster and more efficient when writing game code:

“It saves time. My delivery speed is getting faster. I write faster than usual because I save lots of time with other easy tasks.”

However, he asked the developers to listen to KI when creating their projects.

“You need to pay lots of attention, have the know -how and experience because you might have to see how the API works, how it would be connected, how it really works with many users at a high load,” said Vladimir.

Telegram Web3 games to grow exponentially

When asked whether the Web3 Gaming industry from Telegram will still grow despite the perceived death of tap-to-for-people, Salo CoinTelegraph said that Telegram has a market just like Facebook and Wechat, that are platforms with its own gaming ecosystems.

“We imagine in our opportunities because we have already got an identical platform to Wechat and Facebook that have already got their game ecosystems and it’s an enormous market. The variety of users is practically the identical,” she said.

Salo found that Telegram's game scene currently has no major publishers and investor financing, but expects exponential growth.

Salo added that they were attempting to get to at least one point where players not only get tokens, but since it is fun. “We attempt to get this extra part like this” fun “with something that individuals don't just do for money, only for themselves,” said Salo.
