Garanti BBVA Kripto Collaborates with Ripple and IBM to Enhance Cryptocurrency Trading Platform
Garanti BBVA Kripto, a leading cryptocurrency asset trading platform, has announced a major collaboration with Ripple and IBM to enhance the performance and security of its services. The company recently completed a successful pilot program in 2023 and is now rolling out the platform to its entire customer base.

The crypto asset trading platform currently serves 14,000 users and has implemented a combined solution from Ripple Custody and IBM to build a secure key management infrastructure. This solution includes data encryption, isolation of customer environments, hardware security modules, and a governance framework to ensure the protection of private keys and data.
IBM Turkey General Manager Işil Kilinç Gürtuna highlighted the high level of security standards provided by IBM’s infrastructure capabilities, specifically in the digital asset custody domain. Aaron Sears, senior vice president of global customer and partner success at Ripple, emphasized the importance of secure custody in unlocking value and meeting the growing demand for new asset classes in the digital economy.
Ripple also recently announced new features and functionalities for its custody solution, including transaction screening services, hardware security module options, XRPL integration for tokenizing real-world assets, and upgrades to usability and user interface.
