Jan3 founder Samson Mow expects billionaire investor and Tesla CEO Elon Musk to aggressively enter Bitcoin in 2026.
It was one in all Mow's five daring Bitcoin (BTC) predictions for 2026, emerging from a 12 months by which several Bitcoin predictions from distinguished crypto executives missed the mark.
“@elonmusk goes hard on BTC,” Mow said in an X post on Saturday.
Musk has shown his support for cryptocurrencies over time but has expressed concerns about Bitcoin's environmental risks. Tesla stopped accepting Bitcoin payments in May 2021 attributable to environmental concerns. The following 12 months, in July 2022, the electrical vehicle maker announced that it had sold 75% of its Bitcoin holdings.
According to Mow, Bitcoin could reach seven figures in 2026
According to CoinMarketCap, Mow, who is not any stranger to bullish Bitcoin price targets, also predicted that Bitcoin price will reach $1.33 million in 2026, about 1,367% of the present price of $90,596.
Mow told the magazine in June 2025 that Bitcoin could reach $1 million in 2025 or, if not, 2026.[It] is a given at this point, perhaps this 12 months, perhaps next 12 months.”

Mow has previously noted that nation-state adoption is a significant catalyst that might trigger an exponential rise in the value of Bitcoin. In September 2025, Mow said that an increasing number of countries are preparing to advance Bitcoin adoption. “I feel we’re at the top of the phase, and we’re at first phase of a sudden phase.”
However, he isn't too focused on fascinated by his 2025 predictions.
Mow responded to an X user on Saturday who asked, “How a lot of your 2025 predictions have you ever made?” by saying, “Let us not dwell previously.”
“Never look back, only forward,” he said.
Other leaders are more conservative
Other crypto managers don't expect such outsized returns for Bitcoin over the subsequent 12 months.
On December 28, Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan said he expected an uptrend, but nothing out of the atypical. “I feel we're in a 10-year upward spiral with strong returns. They're not spectacular returns, [but] Strong returns, lower volatility, some ups and downs.”
It follows several high-profile crypto executives whose daring Bitcoin price predictions last 12 months did not materialize.
BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes and BitMine chairman Tom Lee predicted Bitcoin would hit $250,000 by the top of 2025, at the same time as recently as October, when the cryptocurrency was trading at about half that level after hitting an all-time high of $125,100.
Mow also predicted that Michael Saylor's Strategy (MSTR) stock price would reach $5,000, a rise of roughly 3,084% from the present price of $157.
He predicts Bitcoin will “outperform the metals” shortly after gold and silver hit record highs of $4,549 and $83 in December. He also said that “not less than one country” will launch a Bitcoin bond.
