The Ukrainian police arrested a person and accused him of hacking the accounts of a world hosting company and undergoing his servers in an obvious case of cryptojacking.

In a press release on June 4, cyber law enforcement officials from the National Police of Ukraine announced that a 35-year-old man from the Poltava region allegedly asked for weaknesses in the web security of various international corporations and access to their servers.

“In particular, the defendant has illegally received access to over 5,000 customer accounts of a world hosting company that provides server rental services for the operation of varied web sites and online platforms,” ​​said the police.

After access to the accounts, the person allegedly not authorized virtual machines and crypto mountain individuals with the corporate's servers, which is usually known as cryptojacking.

The Ukrainian police claim that the suction of resources by the person without paying the hosting company suffered to losses of over 185 million Ukrainian Hryvnia (4.4 million US dollars).

The police also recurrently modified the person within the regions of Poltava, Odesa, Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk to avoid discovery.

During a search by the accused Cryptojackers' residence, the police said that they’d restored computer equipment, mobile phones, bank cards and other physical evidence that showed that he was energetic in Hacker forums.

The confiscated devices also contained an authorization data from E -Mail accounts that were used for hacking, crypto money exchanges, software for configuring, starting and managing crypto mining processes and other software for collecting information and control of the devices.
